Primrose Alloys, Inc. Buys Assets of The Channel Corporation

Stamford, CT – August 4, 2010 – Metals trading firm, Primrose Alloys, Inc., announces an asset purchase of the 20-year-old aluminum master distributor, The Channel Corporation.

With six locations across the United States, The Channel Corporation has been an integral part of aluminum stocking programs for many Canadian and U.S. distributors. “Channel is a great fit to better serve our existing aluminum and stainless customers around the country. Their customer database, on-line ordering system and detail to service bring great strength to our company,” declares Craig Yarde, CEO of Primrose Alloys, Inc.

The Channel Corporation will be renamed Channel Alloys. “We feel that “Alloys” better describes the company’s focus on aerospace, automotive and fabrication stock,” said Chris Howard, who will become President of Channel Alloys. “Primrose has key mill relationships in Asia, Russia and South America. We will triple our inventory in the next three months. Channel Alloys will now have mill access to aluminum, stainless and carbon steel bar products.”
